  3. 4 to Follow: Erin Santos Speaks!

Charlotte is home to thousands of Instagram accounts from Charlotte creatives sharing their work and their thoughts about the Queen City community. Many of them deserve more love and your attention. But, where do you start? Who do you follow? No worries. Our guest experts have got you covered.

This week, Erin Santos, the passionate president of the Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF) shares of her faves. ISF was founded to honor the legacy of Erin’s daughter, Isabella, who passed away in 2012 at the age of 7 after a valiant fight against neuroblastoma. ISF is dedicated to improving rare pediatric cancer treatment options in an effort to increase survival rates of kids with cancer so they can live dreams.

On Saturday, September 28, ISF is playing host to the 12th annual 5K/10K For Kids Cancer run. We have established a team called “Charlotte Is Creative” for members of our community who want to run. There are 25 spots on the team and we’ll make a $10 donation to ISF for every runner who registers and joins our team. Or, you can be a “Phantom Runner” and donate without actually running. (We don’t judge.)

Now, here are Erin’s picks:

@thesavageway

“I’m completely the target market for Torrie Savage and Paula Bartlett.  I just had my sidewalks done by their DIY @drivewartco and ordered my first moss art to go behind my bar.  I love everything they do from their creative ideas to feel good attitude.” – Erin Santos

“Sarah writes for so many avenue here in Charlotte but the thing I love most about her Instagram is the travel pics.  I’m usually on a trip, planning my next trip and everywhere she goes sparks my interest.  The pictures excite me and send me to a relaxing place in my mind.  She also reminds me that my dream job is a travel writer.” – Erin Santos

“Whitley Hamlin is an AMAZING stylist.  Our tastes couldn’t be more different but I’m obsessed with the outfits she pulls off from dresses from @houseoflandor and the freaking initial ring from @kristen_hayes_jewelry.  I love how she styles me in a clutch situation, her laid back personality and how much she loves her 2 boys.” – Erin Santos

@sweetspotstudioclt

“Outside of being a travel writer, I want to be a fancy cake maker.  I don’t even like cake!  But seeing her instagram makes me want plan a big event just to order her cakes.  I even took her class once and learned to make a pumpkin spice naked cake.  Outside of having my children it was the most proud I have ever been of myself.” – Erin Santos
