Would you rather have a bad hair day on camera … or walk around the newsroom in wet clothes all day?
“Been there, done that. It’s called ‘STORMCHASING.’ You can watch my hair grow exponentially from the 4pm newscast to the 6pm newscast in the rain. And, when I’m done, I come back to the newsroom soaking wet.”
When NBC launches Peacock, which show will you binge and what flavor of ice cream will you eat while watching?
“There’s a Lorne Michaels ‘behind the scenes’ docuseries in the works. I love any kind of storytelling where you really get to know someone. (I picture it being like the VH1 Behind the Music series from forever ago.) And Ben and Jerry’s New York Super Fudge Chunk.”
In 2024, the Mayor of Charlotte gives you the key to the city. How did to earn it?
“Convinced the powers that be to rename the Queens/Queens/Providence/
Whaaaaat? A rip in the space/time continuum allows you to ask Queen Charlotte one question. What do you ask her?
“Uptown? Can’t we call it ‘downtown’ like every other city?”

What are the top 3 most played songs on your phone RIGHT NOW?
- Mumford and Son’s New Song, “Blind Leading the Blind” – They are my favorite band to see live and I’m pretty much obsessed with everything they do. But, this song, in particular, has some pretty powerful lyrics.
- Van Halen’s “Dreams” – It’s on just about every running mix I’ve ever made.
- Christopher Cross’ “Sailing” – Cheesy, but as a beach girl, it calms me every time.
