Awesomeness Alert! Rebecca Henderson Bringing Wonder to CreativeMornings
By Matt Olin & Tim Miner
There are only two types of people in the world. Period. Those who know Rebecca Henderson. And, those who need to know her.
- If you don’t know Rebecca Henderson, you need to change that as soon as is humanly possible.
- If you do know Rebecca Henderson, there’s no way you’d pass up a chance to hear her speak.
If you’re in Category A or B, we’ve got good news for you. She will be speaking on the global topic of “Wonder” at 8:30am on June 7 at Discovery Place for the June meeting of CreativeMornings/Charlotte.
Better still, the whole thing – from parking to food to live music to games to Rebecca’s talk – will be free. So get ready to claim your ticket by clicking this link when tickets are released at 9am on Monday, June 3.
(Full disclosure, we’ve seen the notes from her talk. Take Advil before you come. You’ll ache from laughing otherwise. And, bring a box of tissues. You’ll need them, too.)
More About Rebecca Henderson
Rebecca Henderson is a social sculptor whose personal art practice explores humor as the humble messenger of truth. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Sculpture and Extended Media program, she is an advocate for the physical presence of words, no matter how gritty or messy, and is a frequent letterpress resident at Penland School Of Crafts. Honored to be able to call herself a native Charlottean, she has returned to her hometown to serve as a champion for revolutionary ridiculousness and ecstatic empathy. She is a copywriter at Wray Ward and a Fellow at the League of Creative Interventionalists.
