Charlottean Jamie Decker’s got brainsby The Biscuit Staff on May 23, 2019
Charlottean Jamie Decker’s got brains … and she’ll let you hold them in your hand. In fact, she wants you to. After being inspired by the traveling Body Worlds exhibit visiting Discovery Place in 2007, Jamie tracked down the creator of the plastination technique used to preserve the organs and bodies displayed, Dr. Gunther von Hagens. She impressed him so much, he invited her to train under him in Germany and is, today, the only person living in the US who has. She’s moved back to Charlotte and wants to share her passion … and knowledge … with you. She spoke about her experience at CreativeMornings/Charlotte on May 3 … and on The Biscuit Podcast.
