CHARLOTTE’S GOT A LOT… OF ART
Charlotte Is Creative is proud to have been engaged by the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA) to select and manage artists to repurpose nine 3-foot letters spelling out “CHARLOTTE.”
The CRVA originally created the letters for the President’s Cup in 2022. But, they wanted to give them new life and unveil them at the CRVA’s Partners in Tourism Awardsthe morning of Wednesday, January 25. From here, the letters will travel to CRVA events throughout the year.
In just two weeks, more than 15 artists from nine regional arts organizations worked to design and paint on each letter. They drew inspiration from the CRVA’s four key brand themes: Arts & Culture, Diversity & Inclusion, Outdoor Recreation & Adventure and Culinary.
Our selected teams and artists did NOT disappoint. These organizations and artists added their own touch to each letter to represent themselves and the Charlotte region. They were paid for their work … and each organization is available for commissions.
