CreativeMornings Rewind with Joni Deutsch

To celebrate the 50th consecutive gathering of CreativeMornings/Charlotte, you’d better have a big voice giving the keynote talk … especially when the global theme of the month is “Silence.”

That’s why the Charlotte chapter turned to the “best hair in radio,” Joni Deutsch of WFAE. Known for using her voice to lead listeners on an audio exploration of the Queen City music scene,  Joni quieted the audience with a story of her own reluctance to as a child to speak and how she eventually learned how to share her inner world with those around her. After the event, hosts Matt Olin and Tim Miner sat down to talk to Joni about her West Virginia, her lifelong love of music and her thoughts about the future of the creative community in Charlotte.
