15 CLT Artists Want to Make You the Coolest Zoom in the Room Art by Christopher Holston Remember life before Zoom and other online meeting platforms? Yeah. Neither do we. It looks like Zoom is going to be with us for awhile, so let’s make the most of it. Somewhere at the end of March or the beginning of April, most of us began to play with the background feature on Zoom, attending meetings with a beach scene behind us or the bridge of the Millenium Falcon or the Kardashian’s living room. (Wait … was that just us?) But, it’s time to switch it up, show ’em your flare and add more verve and style to your Zoom game. With help from Charlotte SHOUT!, we engaged 15 artists from across the city to create custom Zoom backgrounds in their style. They each picked a scene or topic about life in Charlotte. Now, they’re available for you to download and use as your background. PLEASE NOTE: We paid each artist to create these, but they retain 100% ownership of the work. If you are wanting to use these for anything other than personal purposes, please reach out to the artists below to negotiate use with them. You can also tip them OR — better yet — hire them to create original work for you!
