A Special Message from John Tosco

One of our favorite Queen City creatives is John Tosco, founder of Tosco Music. For decades, he’s worked tirelessly to support the local music scene. This weekend is Tosco Music’s annual tribute to The Beatles, FabFest. And, John has a special message (and discount) for Biscuit readers

I’ve loved the Beatles since I was 5 years old when I first saw them on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” I used to play “She Loves You” on a cardboard guitar in a friend’s basement, lip-synching and strumming the air.⁣

And, for the past 30 years, I’ve been showcasing local and regional musicians at our Tosco Music Parties which began with inviting friends to play music together in my living room.⁣

For 15 years, our most popular event has been Tosco Music Beatles Tribute. In 2019, we expanded it into a weekend festival. Now, in its fourth year, FabFest Charlotte is the only Beatles festival in the Southeast with live music, memorabilia, a Beatles Art Contest and more. ⁣It runs this weekend from July 21 to 22.

This year, we also have Ringo’s drummer, a Beatles-themed art show and even Beatles Yoga at FabFest Daytime on Saturday (July 22), a multi-generational, family-friendly experience at CPCC’s Parr Center. ⁣

FabFest is a labor of love, and I look forward to seeing Charlotte come together to celebrate the music of the Beatles.
