“I can’t breathe.”We had a full batch of The Biscuit planned for today. But, all that can wait. You can read it tomorrow. Today, the floor belongs to our friend, William “Coach” McNeely, Jr. of the Do Greater Foundation. Coach had a double lung transplant last year. He posted this on his Instagram feed in the wake of George Floyd’s death. It’s more important than anything else we have to say right now.

Before my transplant, there were many times when I thought I was going to die because I couldn’t catch my breath. It’s the worst feeling you can ever have. You are aware you are dying. You have time to process it. Thinking about your life up to this point and how your death is going to affect your family. You don’t want to go. You try so hard to catch some air any way you can. You will do anything to release your airway so that air can flow. And I do mean anything. George Floyd didn’t deserve to die like this. Nobody does. Definitely not by a policemen’s knee on his neck. #icantbreathe IMAGE CREDIT: @thepaperedgoose | The Biscuit is proudly sponsored by: |
