FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME MAY 24 – 29, 2022 Knight Theater at Levine Center for the ArtsAfter winning a 2020 Special Tony Award®, the modern improv masterpiece, FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME (FSL), headed on the road for a limited engagement of just 11 cities this year. Created before In the Heights and Hamilton, this fast-paced show was conceived by Anthony Veneziale and created by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Anthony Veneziale. FSL blends improvisational vocals of the performers—from singing to rapping to beat-boxing with harmonies and freestyle flow— co-created live every night with the audience contributing words, ideas and suggestions. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF MAY 31 – JUNE 5, 2022 Belk Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts CenterFiddler on the Roof is a timeless classic of American musical theatre from Tony-winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize-winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. It opened on Broadway in 1964 and was the first musical in history to surpass 3,000 performances. Now, this acclaimed revival is visiting Charlotte for just eight performances to introduce a new generation to the iconic musical adored across the globe.
