Daily Recipe – Rachael Green’s Quaran-Tini

Rachael Green’s Quaran-Tini

Ingredients:

  • Tsp of finely diced fresh ginger
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 0.5 oz. of honey / 1 oz. of honey syrup (1/2 honey 1/2 water)
  • Sprinkle of thyme dried / spring of thyme fresh
  • 2 oz. of Conniption Gin (local North Carolina gin)

Instructions:

  • Muddle the ginger into the honey (syrup) and lemon juice
  • Sprinkle fresh or dried thyme
  • Add gin
  • Stir until completely homogenous
  • Add ice to shaker tin and shake hard until shaker is frosty
  • Strain into martini glass
  • Garnish with lemon wedge and pickled ginger, if you have it

Notes from Rachael: “The goal is to make a cocktail that is accessible with common household ingredients amd healthy (as much as it can be) antimicrobials from The honey and the thyme. It’s high in Vitamin C from the fresh lemon and it’s high octane to kill of any bugs you may have creeping around.”
