Rachael Green’s Quaran-Tini
Ingredients:
- Tsp of finely diced fresh ginger
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 0.5 oz. of honey / 1 oz. of honey syrup (1/2 honey 1/2 water)
- Sprinkle of thyme dried / spring of thyme fresh
- 2 oz. of Conniption Gin (local North Carolina gin)
Instructions:
- Muddle the ginger into the honey (syrup) and lemon juice
- Sprinkle fresh or dried thyme
- Add gin
- Stir until completely homogenous
- Add ice to shaker tin and shake hard until shaker is frosty
- Strain into martini glass
- Garnish with lemon wedge and pickled ginger, if you have it
Notes from Rachael: “The goal is to make a cocktail that is accessible with common household ingredients amd healthy (as much as it can be) antimicrobials from The honey and the thyme. It’s high in Vitamin C from the fresh lemon and it’s high octane to kill of any bugs you may have creeping around.”
