Hey, Daybreak Legends. We’re kicking off August with back-to-back mornings of exciting, inspirational events designed to help you fall deeper in love with Charlotte’s creative community … and, you’re invited to both.

That’s right. We want you to go on a “double date” with Charlotte Is Creative — if you will — on Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3.

Don’t worry. We’ll pick up the check on both. You just need to grab your free tickets below and show up on time.

DATE ONE: CreativeMornings/Charlotte featuring MenTchaas Ari

Friday, Aug. 2 from 8 to 10 a.m.
Savona Mill at 500 S Turner Ave.
🔗 Tickets are FREE, but limited.

We’re excited to say that the one-and-only Men Tchaas Ari, president and CEO of Communities In Schools of Charlotte-Mecklenburg (CIS), will be our featured speaker in August. CIS’ mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. This is vital work that takes tons of creativity!

Along the way to Men Tchaas’ talk, we’ll celebrate with live music, hugs, high fives, hot coffee, yummy breakfast bites, marvelous mocktails, belly laughs and so much more. You’ll leave with inspiration and new connections, friendships and ideas.

DATE TWO: Charlotte Reciprocity Circles, Vol. 6

Saturday, Aug. 3 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Wonderworld West End Studios at 1545 West Trade St.
🔗 Tickets are FREE, but limited.

When it comes to building a career as a creative entrepreneur, everyone needs a circle around them, people who can help you access funds, experience, advice, resources and other creatives. And, everyone has the capacity to be an ally, a mentor, a connector or a resource for someone else.

That’s what Charlotte Reciprocity Circles (CRC) is – an opportunity to connect with creative allies and share your social capital. At each event, we break into moderated circles of 15 people. In turn, each person in the circle is invited to share one goal they have and one obstacle or need they have to achieve that goal. ⁣Ask for what you need. Share the resources you have.

EVERYONE in the circle has valuable social capital to share.
EVERYONE taps into their experience to help another.⁣
EVERYONE leaves with something they need.

We promise you’ll leave inspired, energized and ready to get started with new friends and valuable connections.

So … what do you say? Wanna’ go on a double date with us?
