Erin Santos Won’t Let COVID-19 … or Cancer … Stop Her
- /
In March 2020, most of the world came to a stop due to COVID-19 preventative measures. We all knew it would be incredibly destructive for businesses, but what about nonprofits? In the case of the Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF), 1/3 of their annual revenue was set to come in through events set in March … all of which were canceled … in one day.
For ISF founder Erin Santos, stopping wasn’t an option. Cancer wasn’t going to stop impacting children and families, so their mission was the same as it ever was. And, her team had encountered huge obstacles before. In this interview, Erin shares with Tim Miner how stay-at-home time was saved by a miraculous injection of funding from the JEM Project and has become a time of unbridled creativity and strategy for the ISF team. She’s excited for the future. And, after this 7-minute Biscuit Blitz interview, you will be, too.

Erin gave us a raw, emotional and inspiring interview on The Biscuit Podcast in 2019, sharing the story of ISF’s founder, Erin’s daughter, Isabella. Isabella’s dream was the bear cancer, grow hair and live her dreams. And, that’s what The Isabella Santos Foundation does for children and families battling rare forms of pediatric cancer every day.
