A beautiful movement to support Black and Brown-owned businesses is underway in the Queen City. To help consumers across the city navigate Charlotte’s robust community of Black-owned retailers, restauranteurs, service-providers, creatives, consultants and innovators, @CLTBlackOwned was established in the spring of this year … and they promptly blew up to over 20,000 followers on Instagram.
The creative team at @CLTBlack Owned — Maddy, Jeff, Ashley and Jeremy — highlights a different company or individual Monday-Saturday. On Sundays, they ask you for business suggestions or highlight multiple businesses in a particular field.
To help them advance their mission and spread the word, we’ll recap their selections regularly in The Biscuit. So, start reading, start patronizing and start suggesting Black-owned businesses they should know about. It all starts by following them on Instagram.
