  3. Four to Follow: Nicole Copsis SHAREs Insta Faves

Charlotte is home to thousands of Instagram accounts belonging to people vigorously exploring the city.  But, where to start? Who to follow? No worries. Our Queen City Sherpas will lead the way. And, each week, a different one shares four local Instagram accounts they feel offer a compassionate, funny, inspiring or insightful eye on Charlotte.

When it comes to knowing the who’s who in the nonprofit world and the Charlotte Instagram scene, there’s no one we trust more than Nicole Copsis, chief storyteller at SHARE Charlotte. A Charlotte native, Nicole’s got her finger on the pulse of the Queen City … and she uses that finger to scroll through and find the most inspiring, creative people and places at work in our city. Here are her picks.

“Warning: Inspirational Content Ahead. Girl Tribe is run by bada** Lady Bosses who are constantly bringing out the Lady Boss in all of their followers. This account may make you want to tattoo ‘Empowered Women, Empower Women’ on your forehead (or maybe that’s just me), but regardless will add a nice touch of lady power to your IG feed. And who doesn’t need more of that?” – Nicole Copsis

“Simply put: Laura Wolff is a cool person who takes cool photos. She is the official photographer for the Charlotte Knights baseball team and her gorgeous photos make BB&T Ballpark and the surrounding CLT skyline look enchanting knight after knight. You do not have to care about baseball to appreciate the knock-out photos that Laura shares on her account, you only have to have eyeballs. ” – Nicole Copsis

“Hygge’s IG account is easy on the eyes. Expect to meet plenty of friendly faces (both furry and human), to have a sudden, subconscious craving for Not Just Coffee, get some tattoo inspo and have some serious FOMO if you don’t have a photo in ‘the yellow room’ yet. Hygge’s go-to photographer, Julia Fay (@juliafayphoto), does an awesome job of capturing the easy vibe of the hygge family.” – Nicole Copsis

“I can’t keep quiet about Silent Images. Silent Images captures and shares stunning, important stories for both local and global nonprofits that inspire action. The visuals they share on their IG account do a great job of showcasing the work that they do as storytellers. Pro Tip: Check out their Compass and Light series that shines a spotlight on mental health issues.” – Nicole Copsis
