  3. Four to Follow: Insta-scriptions from @clt.remedy

Each week, we ask an local Instagrammer  to be our “CLT Sherpa,” guiding us to four local Instagram accounts they think are worthy of your follows and likes.

This week, we hear from one our favorite “Pharmacists of Queen City Food-ology,” Kriska of @clt.remedy, to hit us with a powerful dose of Vitamin Insta. And, here are their picks:

The Freckled Fork

Jess Masanotti
@the.freckled.fork

“Jess M. of @the.freckled.fork is an inspiring local chef-foodie who’s grid I absolutely obsess (and drool) over.  It’s not because it’s a perfectly curated grid, but because she cooks with so much passion and has so much love for all things fresh, local and in season.  As a meat-loving-give-me-all-the-red-meat eater, she somehow convinced me that roasted beets are magically delicious. If food were a love language, Jess masterfully writes beautiful stories one plate at a time.” – @clt.remedy

AlexanderSouthNC

Alex and Mallory
@alexandersouthnc

“CLT has a lot of amazing local photographers capturing our very beautiful Queen City skyline but Alex and Mal of @alexandersouthnc set themselves apart because not only do they take dope urban shots highlighting Charlotte. but their love for the city also shows in their philanthropic efforts.  Portions of their sales have allowed them to support local charities over the years, like the Men’s Shelter and Behailu Academy. They also host Uptown photography tours that I’m a huge fan of. I’ve been to three tours and their passion for their art and our city ignited this love for photography in me that I didn’t even know I had!” – @clt.remedy

EM IN CLT

Emily Maguire
@em_in_clt

“The CLT foodie scene on Instagram has exploded in the last year alone. I mean, with so much good food to eat around the city, I don’t blame anyone for starting a food account.  That’s why we’re here! But, one of our favorites is Emily of @em_in_clt.  For one, she might just convince me to become a vegetarian because she makes a salad bowl look so tasty (that’s some crazy super power influencing right there), but I also just love her overall positive energy and the good vibes she always shares on her feed. In addition to food posts, she also shares about different activities around town {like mural hunting or hanging out with cats in cafes} or day trips {like nearby hiking trails}.” – @clt.remedy

Traveling Chucks

Cristina Castrejon Martinez
@_travelingchucks_

“This one is a two-for-one deal: @_travelingchucks_ is a fun account by @thearchitrekker. I love following both of Christina’s accounts where she documents her world travels and also her CLT adventures.  Travel is so important to me, and both of her accounts are a constant reminder of the larger world out there that I want to discover.  As an avid Converse wearer, I love her playful perspective, capturing snapshots of her ‘around the world in a pair of chucks.’  Who knew that floors could be so IG-worthy!?!  She calls herself an amateur photographer but I think she captures our Queen City and the world beautifully!” – @clt.remedy
