HUGS and Bolts: 7 Creative Charlotteans Honored
- /
Each month, with the help of OrthoCarolina and The Savage Way, we present a #BoltOfInspiration — beautiful moss art bolts — to Charlotteans who are working to help make the Queen City a more vibrant and loving place that urges all of us forward.
In August, we honored Charlottean Dr. Keith Cradle, Director of Youth and Juvenile Services for the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. He is also the host of Crafted With Cradle, a podcast “crafted conversations over cocktails,” where Keith engages with some of Charlotte residents and creatives to discuss issues of the day with spirits and fun.

Every month, Charlotte Is Creative awards Queen City creatives with HUG (“Helpful Unfettered Gift”) micro-grants to help them move their passions and projects along.
Seven $250 HUGs were awarded this month thanks to the generosity of HUG sponsors — T. Reid & Company, Savvy + Co. Real Estate, Google Fiber, NoDa Brewing & Dualboot Partners — and individual donors.
