Nominations Needed for National Philanthropy Day
- /
Every year the Charlotte chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) gathers to celebrate National Philanthropy Day. The day is designed to honor the individuals, groups, organizations and businesses in Charlotte who are creating a philanthropic difference in our community on a daily basis.
In November, AFP Charlotte will gather for their annual National Philanthropy Day to award individuals and organizations across 9 different categories for the work they’ve done this year. So who’s taking home the award this year? Well, in part, that’s up to you! In order to give out awards, they must first receive nominations!
AFP Charlotte is currently accepting nominations for their National Philanthropy Day awards until May 4, 2020. If you want to show your support for organizations or individuals that are doing great things in the Queen City, this is a phenomenal way to do so. In the words of AFP Charlotte, they are looking for individuals who are “sources of hope and forces of good.”
Here are the categories:
- Outstanding Champion of Diversity
- Outstanding Emerging Philanthropist
- Outstanding Fundraising Executive
- Outstanding Philanthropist
- Outstanding Philanthropic Small Business
- Outstanding Philanthropic Organization
- Outstanding Student Philanthropist
- Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
- Outstanding Legacy
If you know someone deserving of one of the awards above, we encourage you to head to AFP Charlotte’s website to learn more and submit a nomination by May 4, 2020.
