Queen City Quiz Show – March 26
- /
Dear Biscuit Readers,
We’re grateful that you enjoy our weekly batches of The Biscuit into your inbox. And, now, we’d like you to be among the first to know about a special one-night event happening on Thursday, March 26 at 7:00pm. We’re calling it “Queen City Quiz Show: The WFAE Pilot Recording Event!” Ready for the pitch?
“What if Jeopardy and The Daily Show had a baby on a bus while driving around Charlotte?”
Believe it or not, that’s what we asked ourselves when we were first brainstorming the idea that would become Queen City Quiz Show a few years go. Our initial goal was to find a way to educate and mobilize Charlotteans by adding fun, entertainment, and laughter to community engagement. Out of that, we created a live game show about Charlotte history, trivia and current events that has traveled to neighborhoods across the city and engaged citizens where they live and work.
And now, after hosting the Quiz in every corner of Charlotte, we’ve partnered up with 90.7 WFAE and Blumenthal Performing Arts’ new “Nerdy Night Out” series to explore a whole new chapter in the Queen City Quiz Show odyssey!
Join us at the Stage Door Theater at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center on March 26 (7:00pm) as part of the live studio audience of this pilot recording for a potential new radio show for WFAE. This quiz show will feature a diverse and entertaining array of Charlotte leaders, personalities and creatives on the stage (and behind the mics) — plus YOU. That’s right. After the show, you’ll have a chance to give us vital feedback to help develop the Quiz into a brand new concept for the airwaves.
Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased HERE. We hope to see you there!
Yours In Creativity (and Charlotte History),
