So, You Moved to Charlotte

While dumpster diving behind Morrison Library during its recent renovation, we unearthed a long-forgotten documentary short that had seemingly been tossed way, entitled “How to fit in in the Queen City.” Upon further research, we discovered that this short was part of a series of instructional films called “So, You Just Moved to Charlotte!” The film was shot on 16mm format and apparently shown to newcomers to Charlotte for decades. The Biscuit is proud to have rescued this relic of Charlotte’s past, and we will safeguard the original film stock under lock and key in the Charlotte Is Creative offices. As we continue to hunt for the other missing shorts in this historic series, you can step back to a bygone era by watching the short here – painstakingly restored back to its original glory.
