CLT’s Toughest Crew Is Bringing Art to a Pop-Up Near You
- /
Earlier this week, we got a sneak peek of the TAC POP-Up Gallery that’s opening this Sunday, September 20 at 3225 North Davidson Street (formerly Sunshine Daydreams). And … holy crap.
This pop-up shop will sell works from the Tough A$$ Crew, an extraordinarily eclectic group of over 60 local artists … and there might just be room for more. (Reach out to Stencil Spray on Instagram if you’re interested.)
The TAC worked with Don Koster of The Evening Muse to secure the space and, a team of 20 artists is in the process of painting murals on the interior walls right now. A particular highlight is a new work from wandering artist, Marcher Arrant, who fortunately happened to be in Charlotte in-between adventures.
If you’ve been harboring concerns that NoDa is getting too corporate, then this is the place for you. Show up, love up and pay up to support the Queen City’s visual art scene. The gallery will be open for the next 60 days (and hopefully much longer if we all support it with our dollars). Visit 10am-9pm Tuesday through Sunday beginning on the 20th of September.
Here’s a list of the artists painting the walls right now. Each artist donated their time to the TAC pop-up shop, answering a call time arms in a matter of days.
