VIEWFINDER: @TheNatV’s Shares the Soul of the 704

Charlotte is home to a community of exciting and immensely talented photographers and we want you to meet as many of them as you can. Each month, The Biscuit will feature Viewfinder, a gallery of selected photographs from some of our favorite Charlotteans.

This week, we feature Garrick McFadden. Born and raised in the Queen City, Garrick is naturally known on Instagram as @TheNatV. His passion for photography started as a teenager clutching his iPhone 4 to explore the world. That passion has led to his pursuit of sharing his perspective on Charlotte with those who live here … and beyond.

“No one can really tell you what you see isn’t cool or accepted. It’s the beauty of what art is for me. I enjoy photography as a whole, but urban fashion photography and urban portraits are my favorite,” says Garrick. “The goal is not to put Charlotte on my back. It’s to show why Charlotte belongs on the map … what 704 is and should be about.”

Garrick credits @unclejut, @glenn_roberson_photography and @cltshooters for pushing him and helping him grow as a photographer. Enjoy a small sampling of his work below.
