A Quick Note from Tim Miner & Matt Olin

Happy New Year!

Over the last six years, we’ve met creatives across Charlotte and across creative disciplines. It’s been our pleasure to help tell their stories, to connect them, to counsel them, to find stages for them, to help assemble collaborations, to provide grants and training and advocacy. It’s been our honor to hire them and to help them find well-paying gigs and projects.
Through that time – and especially in the face of COVID-19 – we’ve held tight to our constant:
We love Charlotte.
For all our city’s imperfections, we love the Queen City. And, we love the creatives who live here. And, that’s what we’re carrying with us into 2022.
As we look back on 2021, we have many feelings — pride, exhaustion, excitement, discontent (so much more to do), amazement, frustration and more. But, the most powerful of all our feelings is love.
We are proud to have worked with hundreds of individual creatives and organizations this year to seed, strengthen and support their work. If you’re a creative person we haven’t met yet, please reach out. We want to get to know your work … and the person behind it. We want to know when, how and why you create. And, we want to share that with as many people as we can.
We may not know it all, but we do know this about Charlotte’s community of creatives … they’re just getting warmed up. And, so are we.
Bring it on, 2022.
All good things.
