Because she’s watching you. She sees the world through the lens of her camera and the wisdome of her experience, sharing her vision of the world where all are seen for their value and everyone, especially children of color, can see themselves represented in images of power, grace and respect.⁣

Bae came into our field of vision in 2019 … and we’ve been enraptured ever since, lending her support through HUG Grants, sharing her work, asking her advice and leaning on her perspective. ⁣
⁣
She’s a wonderful friend. We’re proud to know her in that way. But, Bae’s friendship isn’t all hearts and flowers (pun intended). She’s true friend. She shares her truth without filter, allows you to share yours and then invites honest dialogue. If she doesn’t agree, you know it. And, when you seek her counsel, you get it … even if you’re not quite ready for it.

A MENTOR, A TEACHER AND A BUILDER⁣

Bae is a mentor, a teacher and a builder. She wants you to be the best you can be. That comes with a little discomfort. That discomfort is what puts you in the picture.⁣

Through her work, Bae’s been speaking out to Charlotte and the communities around through her photography, her studio in Mount Holly, events and, as of this month, on gigantic billboards as part of her inclusion in the 2022 class of @artpopstreetgallery.⁣
⁣
So, keep your eyes — and your ears — on the indomitable Bae Hart.⁣
⁣
She’s been speaking out. But, not everyone is listening. In 2022, we think she’ll be turning up to volume. And, that’s a good thing, indeed. ⁣
